Roy and Debi Canon with Merlin, Digger and Pyewacket aboard.

Captain Roy  -   Retired early to live a dream on the water.  He hopes to take up his latest career in water color painting once all of the boat projects have been completed.  Family and old friends will notice the new hair style (or lack of it).  Wind and water have made an easier to maintain hair cut a necessity!

Admiral Debi   -   Left her job in hospital administration to enjoy a more relaxed way of life and say goodbye to the "joys" of a thirty-five mile commute to work (one way).  She is once again enjoying the rewards of providing nursing care by doing volunteer work in a small clinic that provides free health care to the local population.

First Mate Merlin   -   An English Springer Spaniel who turned ten years old in October, 2006.  He has adapted very well to boat life, but does not enjoy long passages; having to use the bathroom on the fore deck is a real inconvenience!  While we are at a marina, Capt. Roy and he have returned to their evening round of playing catch with Merlin's favorite Frisbe® each day just before sundown.  Update: At 9:10 a.m. CST on Sunday, 16 September, 2007, Merlin departed the Rio Dulce, Guatemala to join his sister, Jezabel, in puppy heaven.  Debi and I are deeply saddened, but we know he is in a much better place.  He was very loved member of our family and had become a real "boat dog".  He is sorely missed...

Seaman Digger   -   An eleven year old mixed breed.  He misses the freedom of living in the country, but has also adapted to life on the boat.  He does not venture out of the cabin and always hides when any "stranger" comes on the boat.

Sealady Pyewacket   -   Digger's litter mate.  She also spends much of the time tucked into one of several "cat caves" on the boat.  She has ventured out into the cockpit on several occasions, but her excursions are very limited.
