This beautiful city is known for its Spanish Colonial architecture, its great restaurants, and some very popular Spanish language schools. It is the original capital of Guatemala but it was moved some time ago to Guatemala City which is approximately 2 hours away. By the way, Guat City (aka La Capital) is also surrounded by mountains and volcanoes.
